One Tank Trip - Chain O Lakes, IL

The weather is finally starting to warm up in Chicago and we kicked the holiday weekend off with a stop at Chain O Lakes, IL (en route to Wisconsin).  Just 1 hour north is a great state park with tons of hiking trails, a few nice looking lakes, fishing, camping, boating, etc. We have a lot more to explore when we go back...

 

To good health!

Brex has been a little bit sick this week and we experienced another 1st - vomiting. We're very lucky it took 15 months and are thankful for our usual good health.  It was so sad to see our buddy down for the count, but after 48 straight hours of rest, he is all better.  We've had a lot of rain, hail and strong winds, so we weren't the only ones stuck inside in Chicago. Hoping for nice weather for our family getaway this upcoming holiday weekend. Yum, CORN!

Yay, sweet corn is back in season!  Brex isn't a big fan of frozen or canned corn but he LOVES corn on the cob!!

Happy Mother's Day at the Park!

We had semi-nice weather in Chicago and after an awesome sleep in, flowers, cards and pizza party for mommy, we ventured out to spend the afternoon at the park.

We had more fun this year than last, but Brex wasn't really into the Easter Bunny. He didn't throw a fit like most of the other kids, but he didn't smile either.  He was very interested in the plastic grass and the colorful (empty) eggs in his Easter basket.



Fun in the SUN - Florida!

We had a few much needed days of relaxation in Miami/South Beach.  Family fun, roasting in the sun with plenty of time spent a the pool and beach.
