Radley is 2 months old!

Can't believe another month has flown by.  Also can't believe we were "lucky" enough to get a 2nd perfect baby boy. Radley continues to be a total sweetheart -- eating, playing, sleeping and smiling. The 1st time around was good practice, now the method is proven!

April showers bring...

Brex's smile!  He was so excited to find a HUGE puddle in our back alley and was jumping really high in the "little baby puddle" on the front sidewalk. Who needs toys?

Radley's 1st Cubs Experience

We didn't actually go into Wrigley Field for the Cubs home opener, but we did venture down the street to show Radley the neighborhood on game day and peak into the Friendly Confines.  He will get to see the inside when we go watch the cubs play the pirates on 6/8.

Brex + Sadie = TRUE LOVE!

These 2 best buddies hadn't seen each other in a few weeks because they both have busy schedules with school, activities and naps.  They had so much fun together when finally reunited:

A Very Happy Easter!

Success = neither of the boys were afraid of the Easter Bunny this year!  Brex had a lot of fun at school, at church and in Cleveland on 4 different Easter egg hunts. As usual, our families spoiled Brex and Radley with so many toys, books, clothes...and thankfully, very little candy.  We had a delicious meal at Aunt Lori & Uncle Scott's house, before a long drive back to Chicago. 

Happy 39th Grammy Miller

We ventured out on our 1st family road trip to Cleveland for Grammy Miller's birthday party.  The boys did pretty good on the way there, but we were all ready to get out of the car about 1/3 of the way back to Chicago.  It was a good party and fun to see all of the grandkids together.

Clearance shoes

Found Brex a new pair of shoes on the clearance rack and I thought I found the bargain of the century.  They were only $9 and really cute.  What was the catch???  Watch this video with your volume turned up high...

Happy 1 month Radley!

Poor 2nd child...Radley got a visit to the doctor and another hepatitis shot to celebrate his 1 month birthday. He handled it like a champion and continues to be such a sweet baby!

Brex's 1st Ski!

The apple did not fall far from the tree when it comes to skiing. Brex inherited his daddy's obsession with flying down snow covered mountains with absolutely no fear. Never mind the rules about being 5 years old or 40 lbs to ski...our 3 year old 31 pounder had a blast out there. And he loved his apres ski hot chocolate, just as much as daddy (and mommy) love post-ski beers! Can't wait to get him into CO ski school next winter!

Radley is 3 weeks old

It's hard to believe that 3 weeks have flown by since Radley was born.  He is doing great and we are counting our blessings every day for this perfect addition to our family. Here he is learning to wave:

Brex is being really sweet with Radley too and wanting to help with everything from diaper changes to burping.

SO much SNOW!

Brex is getting his fill of fun in the snow this winter.  It's a good way for him to get out of the house and burn off some energy...especially if baby brother is crying or feeding.

We are off to a great start at home.  We are settling into a good routine and Radley is an absolute dream baby. He's eating and sleeping really well and when he's awake, he just chills out and watches what everyone is doing. I think it also helps to know what we are doing this time...

So Much Cake!

We started the day with the Happy Birthday song and Mickey Mouse cake at breakfast and we ended the day with the Happy Birthday song and Mickey cake at dinner...in between, Brex went to school and they sang the Happy Birthday song with cupcakes.

  

Happy 3rd Birthday Brex!

We decided to celebrate Brex's 3rd birthday a few days early, in anticipation of his world being turned upside down on his actual bday.  His only request was a Mickey Mouse cake, so I put my heart into making him the best MM cake I could. He was showered with gifts from friends and family and they had a party for him at school. He brought cupcakes and goodie bags for his classmates and he was so proud to wear a crown with a big 3 on it!

Welcome Baby Radley!

Radley Theodore arrived to complete our family on this holy Ash Wednesday 02/13/2013.  He didn't make us wait quite as long as Brex did, but he definitely made a BIG entrance by tipping the scale at 9 pounds 14 ounces.

The next American Idol?

Brex got mommy's eyes, cheeks and tone deaf singing voice.

Brex Can Read!

We have been reading to Brex religiously since the day he came home from the hospital and he absolutely loves books! Here is a video of him reading one of his favorite books to one of his favorite stuffed animals.
