Go CUBS Go!!!

This was the most exciting year of Cubs baseball we have had since moving here in 1998.  Our household, block and city were rooting for the Cubbies with overflowing support.  It was incredible fun and then it was incredible disappointment, but we are as hopeful as ever that next year is our World Series year!

 

Cousins in Chicago!

There is really something magical about young cousins getting together. Our visits are far too infrequent, but the kids make the most of their precious time together. It was so fun having our Stacey cousins come for a visit and so inspiring to watch Aunt Maura run 26 miles like it was nothing!

Now we understand what "terrible 2s" means

In all honesty, we did not experience terrible 2's or 3's with Brex.  For the most part, he has always been a very controlled, agreeable, go-with-the-flow kid.  That doesn't mean he hasn't had an off moment or gotten up on the wrong side of the bed from time to time, but he WILL take 'no' for an answer and move on.

Radley is the complete opposite. He is non-stop energy and he cannot be contained. If he wants something, he won't quit until he gets it. In this video, he wants "the red one". The red WHAT??? No clue!!!  And he definitely does NOT want to "say cheese" to the camera.  He doesn't want to say cheese...he doesn't need to say cheese...he's not gonna say cheese...
