¡feliz cumpleaños! Lilliana!!!

We are so thankful for Lilliana and the tremendous help she has been to us ever single day, but today is extra special b/c it's her birthday celebration Stacey style.  Lilliana got a mini carrot cake and Brex tried carrots for the first time to keep with the theme.

MILESTONE: Brex is Crawling - 9/16/2010

Brex has been rocking on his hands and knees and scooting backwards for a few weeks now, but today he figured it out.  Once he started crawling, he hasn't stopped. He loves getting around by himself and he looks up at us with a big smile of accomplishment for hitting this new milestone!

The petting zoo was closed for the Labor Day holiday, but we caught a few of the animals hanging out.  Brex's eyes looked like they were going to pop out of his head!!!

Labor Day hiking excursion

The weather was a perfect 70 degrees so we were outside as much as possible enjoying a busy 3 day weekend packed with fun activities in Chicago. On Labor Day we took a family outing the Ryerson Woods Conservation Area (about an hour north of Chicago) to hike around with Brex in his awesome backpack.

MILESTONE: Brex's 1st Tooth - 8/25/10

Another big milestone - Brex got his 1st tooth on 8/25/2010.  Not for lack of trying, but mommy was finally able to snap a photo of it on 9/6/2010!
