The hiking contraption is assembled and ready to go. Now we just need to get out of the condo and out city and give it a go.

Finger/Thumb sucking

I have childhood memories of classmates sucking their thumb but don't remember any of them having a pacifier.  I've also heard the saying "you can't cut off a thumb" and have been warned about the dental problems thumb sucking causes. 
So, I registered for multiple pacifiers. Before Brex arrived, 23 different pacifiers were washed and waiting for him. He takes them occasionally, but he much prefers to suck his thumb or fingers.

He's not even picky, any finger or thumb will do just fine...

Brex's 6 month video

OK, now I get it. People say babies grow so fast, but I didn't fully comprehend until today.  I can vividly remember when my niece Samantha started making "raspberry noises" like it was yesterday. We were at my parent's dining room table and none of us could get enough of the sounds coming from this cute baby girl (until red jello applesauce hit the carpet and it was game o-v-e-r!).  That was more than 8 years ago.  Now Samantha is getting ready to start 3rd grade and our 6 month old baby boy is raspberrying non-stop.

Air Show Party

Sorry we've fallen a little bit behind lately. Busy at work and trying to make the most of our remaining summer weekends!  Here's a photo from the air show party at Matt & Anna's. It was a beautiful day to celebrate Brex being A HALF A YEAR OLD, with the Stallings', Bluhms' and Watermans'!

New beach tent

Lugging the adult camping tent to the beach was starting to be a pain.  They (of course) make baby size tents, so we bought one and it is awesome!

Starting FOOD!

Since Brex is sitting up by himself and staring at everything we put in our mouth, he is big enough to start adding food. Up to this point, his menu consisted of milk and an occasional sip of water too cool down in the 90 degree weather we've been having this summer.
